This guy has no control, throws his fastball in the 80s and has no movement, why on earth is this guy starting in MLB?

 

They were saying he threw strkes......... maybe some jitters going on here. Or at least I hope that's the case.

 

We got lucky there wasn't more damage done this inning....

Wow, I can't believe they overturned that. Velazquez gets lucky again.

 

Oh he was out when the tag was applied. He has speed but that pop-up was weak.

I really don't think it was definitive, I didn't see anything clear enough to say he was definitely out.

In real time ( oddly ) it looked like he came up and his left foot was off when the tag hit him.

 

I did not see the replay. The umps reversed it so I think they were able to see enough to make the call.

 

Where are all the people that were lamenting Merrero's promotion ans skeptical of his defense. Lol. The kid can flat out go get it.

 

I don't need to be lectured about his inability at the plate. I have been watching him in Pawtucket for two years+.

I can't imagine we are ever going to see this pitcher again after this outing...

I don't think I've seen a play that close ever be over turned.....

 

Maybe NY had a different camera angle or something.

He had a clean 2nd inning. It could happen again.

 

 

That double play is not made by any other Sox player at third.

I don't know, I watched replays on NESN and A's telecast and both replays looked the same with nothing definitive. Ill gladly take it though, Velazquez is getting really lucky though, that is for sure.

 

And I don't mind Marrero, previously we were getting bad defense and bad offense from 3B, at least now were getting good defense
