Workman has no business as a starter. 7th inning arm pls.

Yup. I'm not concerned about workman he shouldn't be in the mix to be a starter next year. Only ones who have showed promise this year to be in next years rotation are kelly and rubby. If they can continue to do what they are doing, it looks like a fight between buch, ranaudo, and webster for a final spot and clay is leading that because of what he has proved he can do in the past.

And Farrell is going to hurt our relievers because they have to pitch 5 innings all the time.

What is the other option right now? Bring someone else up from the minors to get banged around and lose all confidence? Seriously, the rest of the season is going to be one big clusterf***. I just hope Farrell can limit the damage the FO has created.

Workman is a bullpen guy in my view -- middle inning guy. We really have a lot of work ahead building a starting rotation. Going forward were are lucky if we can find 3 starters from among Rubby, Kelly, Buchholz and Ranaudo. Maybe 3.

Brandon workman's mid to high 4 era doesnt cut it in today's mlb. This isn't the late 90's early 2000's any more. A 4.00 era is average now in the al.

I really hope they aren't going to keep trotting out Buchholz next season unless he really shows he can have a return to form AND stay healthy. Rubby and Ranaudo might make the back end of the rotation. Kelly and Workman need to go in the pen and we need to make some trades this offseason for at least 2 really good starters.

Hopefully Ortiz is not injured by that HBP. He is having a nice season, and he is the only reason to keep watching this season.

Sums this season up really.

I think kelly should stay as a starter based off what he has done so far. 3 very good outings and one really bad outing that could have been better if xander put his foot on second. If he continues to be good, then he should be in the rotation. However, we definitely do need 2 really good starters.

On the radio yesterday, the announcers said that Kelly had an injury issue last night. Has there been any report on that?

All i heard was that he had a back spasm while throwing a pitch in the fifth. When he was throwing after that to see if he was ok, he wasn't able to repeat the pain he felt and was fine. Farrell said they took him out as a precaution and that they were going to check how he is later today.

He should be responsible for them trading Lester and Lackey?

Station 13 these guys have been awful. They are not adjusting from start to start

The team traded it two aces and rolling with young guys who have little experiences. Except Buccholz, he's a headache for years now.

The Sox have lost 8 of 10 on this home stand. The team is in free-fall.

We have to get at least to 70 wins. Thats all I'm pulling for. Just don't have a record worse than 2012.

They will be lucky if they reach 70 wins this season. If they win 70 games next season to make it 3 of 4 years at 70 wins, they will take a big hit to their profits.

Edit: Even the Mets have not been that bad over the last 4 years, and they are dumping thousands of tickets onto stub hub at steep discounts. At least they are sucking at a bargain basement payroll.

Very true. Not to mention this is now going to be 4 of the last 5 years not making the playoffs.
