Hi. We are visiting Boston from New Zealand next year for the marathon (April 21). We have discovered that the Boston Red Socks are playing the Yankees the next day at home and would love to go to this (we have 2 children 10 and 7). Could someone please give me some advice – where is the best place to buy tickets? Are they on sale yet? Where would you advise the best place to sit in the stadium for people with no real knowledge of baseball?

Thank you in advance!

Been there once, I loved it. Beautiful city to wander around. It might be harder for you since you have 2 kids. I just went all over the place and did not get lost one time. It's very easy imo. If you plan on going against the Yankees, keep a lookout on the Red Sox site to enter a raffle. Since Yankees games are popular, those that are chosen get to buy first. I sat in RF about 2 rows from the field. Paid about 60 bucks and I loved it. Here's a link for the Subway to get around http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/subway/ It's easier to get off of Kenmore than Fenway, don't make the same mistake I did lol. You get off and basically keep walking straight on I think it's called brookline ave. You'll pass cask n flagon and boom there's Fenway. Make sure you take a picture of the 2013 WS banner! Hope you have fun!
