If the Red Sox win tonight, it has to do some damage to the Tiger's confidence. When you have three consecutive gems, 6 IP, 0 H, 0R, 7 IP 1H, 0R and 8IP, 0R and you end up 1-2, what on earth are you going to do? That has to hurt.

Lackey taken out early was bad, but Breslow got out of it. So it's kind of irrelevant. Just because we didn't bunt, doesn't mean we would have scored. It just would have made it easier, but our hitters have been dead this series. I could see how it would be Farrell's worse game if we were losing because of those mistakes, but we're not.

 

At the time, I also wanted Koji in instead of Taz for Hunter.

 

Hopefully we win his worst game, but it's inexcusable not to bunt Middlebrooks in a 1-0 game where we've been dominated all game offensively.
