I've only just now started to realize just how crap this team is vs LHP right now, particularly with Nava and Salty hitting from the right side.

 

We've gotten much better, we're now 7th in the league in wOBA against lefties.

Doubront has really drawn the short straw lately. He's pitching against LAA tonight, and the last five games he's thrown against Detroit, Tampa, Toronto, Baltimore and another game against LAA. That's an incredibly tough group of teams to pitch against in consecutive starts-- hopefully he can take the experience from those games and blow it by some of the weaker teams coming up in the schedule.

This is going to be a rough road trip. Not only is it on the West Coast, but we're seeing Wilson, Weaver, King Felix and Iwakuma. If we can split, it would be a victory.

As I think Ells has already proven this year...the best way for him to hit HR's is to not try to hit HR's.

Laz Diaz usually have a big zone if you pound the zone. He is quick to call strikes.

Victorino is really bad at dealing with balls hit near walls. How many times has he banged up his ribs, head, back against walls, and how many wall ball catches has he missed? It seems like it happens almost every game. Don't get me wrong, he's exceptional defensively, it just happens to be his achilles heel.

Yea I gotta' admit I have given up on that with Felix. However if you can get past that....then it gets really hard to complain about how he is pitching for us.
