He represents the true lesson I hope this FO learns going forward. They made a mistake in judgment with Gonzalez and gave away their future 1b and a SP who would make a lot of sense on this staff.

 

I'm convinced that they will need to value their top tier prospects, particularly pitching prospects, more going forward.

 

Luckily, they found someone to eliminate their original mistake.

yeah he had looked pretty good in the minors this year too with 39k/3bb. nice debut for him though. He might thrive in the cavernous petco park
