I respectfully disagree VA. He was able to suit up and start.

His manager said it hit him right before the game. Guess he's a dolt AND a liar.

ESPN guys talking about the two WC system.

There have been so many rationals offered for this screwed up two WC system we have this year. First it was help make the races more interesting as being the main reason for doing it...since I hear more about making winning the division more meaningful and making it more difficult for the WC team to go forward in the post season. To be honest that one makes no sense to me.

Often the one WC team ended the year with a better record than one of the division winners. So why should that WC team be penalized just because they play in a tough division? Seems to me that they had earned their way into the post season just as much as the division winner that finishes with a worse record than the WC team.

Why does the division win have so much "integrity" to begin with when in fact you have some teams playing in relatively weak divisions? I think they had it right with the one WC and anything else is just some sort of gimmick. This two WC format certainly seems like a gimmick to me.

Since you quoted her I can see what she wrote ( I have her on ignore). Its highly likely that this is not the flu. This is JULY. Its NOT flu season. The chances of getting actual flu in this hemisphere in July is pretty close to zero. Its almost certainly a simply cold or perhaps intestinal "flu". Flu is a specific virus that occurs seasonally every year. July is not that season.

Michael Jordan played his team to a world championship with the flu. Playing baseball with the flu is not life-threatening. Seriously, he can go f*** himself.

1) The team is awesome!

2) Punto is awesome!

3) AGon wanted to play really, really bad but the cold bug beat the s*** out of him in the locker room when no one was looking.

Can we please all get these straight?

Basically, he probably has the shits or as our team doctors term it "intesinal turmoil." Give me a f***ing break.

You suit up and do the best you can. Thats what real team players do. Football players play with much worse; most baseball players are soft. Gonzales just showed his true colors tonite. He doesn't give a s*** about his team.

Yeah, guess he's a lazy freeloader. He attempted to start. How many games has he missed this season? Did he play in the day/night DH yesterday? What a puss.

Agon is not the problem with this team. You know better than that. I don't think others out here do. But I know you do.

So you take some Lomotil and get your ass (and whatever is coming out of it) out there and show a little support for your team and the fans. When the time came for Gonzo to "man up", as Millar would say, Gonzo sat down.

Gonna remember this

And my feelings are SO hurt that you have me on ignore. Yeah, people NEVER get the flu this time of year. Never...ever.....EVER!

Gonzo is probably doing the yankee chant in his Ferrari right now.

Nah, I am sorry VA. He can go f*** himself. he has 3 days off coming up. And to the extent our offense has had a problem, his under performance has been a major factor. He is OPSing 200 pts below what was expected of him, so yes he is a part of the problem.

It's the yankees! It;s sunday night baseball on ESPN. You suck it up and finish the game for your team. Especially with the all star break coming up. Lester's performance was gutless, but A.G takes the cake tonight.

I totally agree that his under-performance has hurt the team. The pitching has hurt it more. We don't know how he feels right now. Do we?

He is a huge part of the problem. Mostly its the starting pitching. In order after that IMO its Gonzales then Pedroia. Then the injuries.

Adrian Gonzalez is not Michael Jordan and this is not the World Series.

We don't even know if Jeter can make a throw from SS right now, but he is still in the game. f***, AGon. I don't care how he is feeling. Unless he has to go to the ER for IV's for dehydration tonight, he can go f*** himself.

Again, since you quoted her, I will respond one more time.

If he got this "right before the game started", there is not enough time to test him and confirm that this is THE FLU. In fact, this time of year most labs don't even test for the flu. People throw that term around all the time for various viruses. Its inaccurate. They used this term in the case of Gonzales with similar disregard of the facts.

I don't really care what it is unless he has leprosy or something, he belongs on the field....with his team.

Gutless.
