Boy I don't know about that...I really don't think Salty frames pitchs all that well but he is getting better at it....no question.

Apparently he ranks near the top of the league, actually.

King Felix has 8K through 4 vs the Os. Flaherty is the only non strikeout victim. Can we get Felix?

Literally the only player in all of baseball that I would give up Bogaerts to acquire.

He's so awesome he forces fielding errors.

If I could choose between a threesome with Heidi Watney and Jenny dell or a long walk on a moonlit beach with salty, I'd take the beach walk.

Salty ranks 11th in that particular category....which is fine as far as it goes but he still makes to many mistakes around home plate...maybe if he was ranked in the top five the rest of his issues would be more acceptable but balls still go over him, past him, around him and through him at to high a rate to say that 11th in framing is that big a deal.

His throwing has improved I would say as much as 100%..that is where he has made the most improvement.....Framing is probably second on the list....receiving is still a problem and and fielding his position is still an issue. Those two plays at the plate in Seattle were classic hands of stone Salty.

I'll try to dig up that guys post some time. Admittedly I'm too lazy to find it now but it was very interesting. The kid is already improving though and he is 27, I see nowhere to go but up.

To be honest I think the thing that made a huge impact for Salty was that he stopped trying to do everything as fast as it could possibly be done or I should say faster than it could possibly be done. That more than anything has accounted for his improvement in most areas.

The game still sort of goes to fast for him in the big moments which is why he has so much difficulty with plays at home with runs at stake.

Notice for example he actually gets rid of ball on throws to second a bit more smoothly and less rushed than he used to yet his throws are now for the most part timely and on the mark. He used to try to throw the damned thing before he even had it out of his glove and his throws were generally less timely and off the mark.

Not sure how accurate what he's saying is but I found it intriguing.

Trevor Bauer is overrated.

his routine is so retarded, i think his arm has a shelf life of 5 years if he keeps up with that crap

page 4 has some serious banter... i am not watching this game but seems like its a grind again !!

I'll second that. I'm not watching the game, I'm actually at spiderman waiting for it to start haha. But sounds like Lester isn't having to bad of a game. Seems like the team likes to flip flop between offense and pitching.

Gonzo has shown no power, and they continue to bat him in the middle of the order. I guess the batting order goes according to salary.

He's hitting around .350 over the past week or so. Where would you put him?

Do you think putting Gonzo in a different part of the lineup will get him some RBIs on his singles?

Eh. The 5 hole is an RBI spot, traditionally. He' tearing it up there recently. Keep him there until the power comes back and then bump him up to cleanup or the 3 hole. He's swinging the bat very well over the last few series, only a matter of time before the power comes. We still have half the season left.
