Baltimore and Toronto isn't going anywhere.

Wow.

Gammons just said that Buchholz is just the second pitcher ever to allow at least five earned runs in his first six starts.

He is worse than Lackey was last year.

They can't allow it to go on much longer.

I agree with what was done. You can't leave him in the game until he fails.

Understood but that is why I posted what I posted...I think a guy like Miller would have been totally thrilled going to the dugout and then coming back out and pitching another inning cause that is what he used to do. Frankly we will never know. Maybe he did not have more than an inning in him all things considered...I guess I would not have done it JUST for the reason Gammon's mentioned

If the top of the order was coming up then I could not under any circumstances have found a reason to keep Miller in there.

Until dice-k is ready? Put buch on the 15-day or whatever they wanna do' date=' get 2 or 3 starts from dice, see how he looks[/quote']

Does he have options? I doubt it.

Well Triple A is more practice and warming up before the bigs.

Clay needs to fix his mechanics,or something. He HAS the ability ,and watching this is like what happened?

Justin Germano is good,Ross and Brandon are vets

Each is done well ,but i see justin and brandon as more dominant

They want to keep Daisuke on track in the minors, plus he had minor neck issues. They wont touch him until end of may?

They have enough on the DL

Really? So the AL east is going to have 4 90+ win teams this yr? And I'm not even counting the sox

Nope, they aren't. When I watch them I see they Rays when they started to turn things around. Call me stupid now, but at the end of the year you'll see. Also, if they all play well, there is no way anyone in the AL East will reach 90 wins.

I think that unless you DL him you would have to waive him before he went to the minors. And someone would certainly claim him.

I am not convinced that he has the ability. You gotta to out and prove it. Clay hasn't done that in his five years except for one full year.

God local commercials are just horrifying to watch sometimes.

Probably what the NESN production crew does on the side:D:D

The only thing that worries is the sox are stubborn, just like the thing with bard(which isnt turning out bad). They are committed to something its hard to change it. Since gammons mentioned that they will probably have buch start against Cleveland.

and no offense, but im not a fan of Vicente Padilla.Saw him warming up

I don't understand your response? The rays will have 90+ wins this yr, the Yankees always find a way to hit 90+... your saying "Baltimore and Toronto aren't going anywhere" so your saying they'll be around 90 wins... And Boston only needs to go 79-57 the rest of the season to hit 90 ( the sooner this team gets healthy, the more likely it'll be ).....so we are gonna have 5 teams finish around 90 wins?? I'm gonna say it now... That will never happen ever in a division

Padilla is not the only questionable guy on our staff. Still, they just cannot keep trotting Buchholz out there the way he is pitching. Eventually something will need to be done. DL is likely. Besides, DiceK is only two starts away.

It's not that hard to get. If there are four or five good teams in a division and they play each other a lot and keep beating up on each other, there is no way statistically they could reach 90 wins or more.

So far today:

Very Encouraged by Miller, Middlebrooks, and the Sox resilience.

Very Discouraged by Clay Buchholz. Just absolutely unacceptable. 6 straight starts with 5 ER or more? That's horrifying. That's worse than John Lackey. He needs to go to Pawtucket because his fastball hasn't changed a plane since June, 2011. It's the definition of a flat fastball.

I was really hopeful that he would turn it around so that when DiceK came back, we could put Bard back in the bullpen, but now I'm afraid Bard is going to have to stay in the rotation and Buchholz is going to have to head to AAA.

Hopefully Andrew Miller is gaining a little confidence and finding the strike zone. He's capable of being as good as Bard if he can consistently throw strikes. That's a huge 'if' though.

Gammons is talking about ballpark size discrepancies... I know I've beat this to death but I'm just amazed how people can be so stupid to think that that's actually good for the sport.

Has to be something wrong with Buchholz. Like somebody else said, this is becoming a Lackey situation.

That answers why they are last in the league in ERA. They keep throwing these guys out there to get bombed. Tazawa pitches good a couple of times out--and he goes back to Pawtucket.

Is the front office for us or against us?

Unfortunately this does not help the Sox. I have thought for awhile now that it won't take much for at least one WC to come out of the West....maybe no WC will come out of the east and you will have to win the division to even get into the post season

When did this start happening. What have we become the Yankees. Are we going to start kicking people out of the ballpark when they don't stand when they start singing God Bless America.

I realize that.... But can you tell me the last time Baltimore even had a winning season? They are winning gms from their starting rotation having a era under 2?? How long can that possibly last.... I have no "faith" in Toronto hanging around

said 2 to 3 . The start wont be to later this week since he skipped on due to neck issues.

Clay is one issue.I dont mind most of the relievers ever since they brought up clayton, and then Alfredo showed some good stuff the other day.

Just Padilla,and Franklin Morales.

Then again Lester hasnt fully picked up yet either.Least he had one good game.

One thing i liked that was said(idk if it was gammons or Don)

Was that only more questions came up,and no answers.

Pitching him more isnt an answer clearly<_>

Yeah--I thought about how the Yankees got away with the same short RF porch in the their new stadium. They put that in the first stadium especially for Babe Ruth (always thought his sale to NY was a setup to showcase NY in the AL). That RF porch has always been their secret weapon.

Then Fenway is supposed to be good for RHd hitters. It used to be, but now the big boxes behind home plate have changed the wind currents towards LF.

wait' date=' what?[/quote']

I read a while back that some guy got kicked out of Yankee Stadium for not showing respect by standing when they sang that song.
