Of note: if we lose this game and tomorrow's game we will be exactly where we were after 14 games last year: 4-10. Except last year we had Papelbon and Bard in the pen.

The Salty of last April finished at .235 even with his mid-summer orgasm. He can't hit, can't receive and can't throw....Not even sure Theo would still have a hard on for this guy.

And at 4-10 we were on a 2-gm winning streak

And with Griffey being one of the most talented all-around players we've seen in the last?? 30?? Yrs' date=' I'm sure if he applied himself at a young age he COUlD of been a great ss[/quote']

You think he could have been just as good or better at SS? Aside from Griffey's 96 season his three best years at CF ( 15.0, 14.0, 11.0) have been very similar to A-Rod's at SS ( 16.0, 12.8, 12.4)

a slow start is a 5 ERA' date=' not 9.[/quote']

What was Melancon's ERA when he was fired? I think it was just under 40or something. I think he was going for the record. Coulda made it too, if he stayed.

Tomorrow we should bludgeon Freddie Garcia. We will need a blow out, because we can't trust the pen. I'll be bringing my mojo with my daughter and son. The last time all 3 of us were together for a Yankee game, Ellsbury stole home. BTR's mojo went bad . He ruined the 100 year anniversary. Stay away from making the game thread tomorrow.

I don't get the Griffey comparison at SS at all. It is not even fair to Griffey. Ya' can't suggest that he would be as good at SS as a guy that has played there. Regardless of how good an athlete Griffey is ya' can't just toss an infield glove on the guy and expect him to play SS.

Sorry if I a missed that part of the discussion. I did not think there was a suggestion that Arod could play Center, only that Griffey could play SS. My bad if that discussion was going in both directions.
