Darvish has confirmed on his blog that he will be posted Thursday.

 

Recommendation:

Darvish is considered Japan's top pitcher and perhaps the best player to come over from Japan since Ichiro Suzuki. He's 18-6 with a 1.44 ERA and 276 strikeouts in 232 innings this season. Expect a significant bidding war to ensue as he's believed to be a higher upside arm than Daisuke Matsuzaka was upon arrival to the Red Sox.

I don't see the Sox going down this road after getting burned with Japan's National Treasure, although if anyone knows if Yu is the real deal it would be Bobby V. He had evaluated Dice K as a back end rotation guy.
