I'd like to think Red Sox fans are primarily baseball fans. The postseason should display the best of baseball. Are Sox fans uninterested in baseball if the Sox aren't involved?

 

In any case, the Rays were just eliminated by the Rangers. The Sox would probably have faced the same fate had we made the wildcard instead of the Rays. We had the better lineup on the field, but they have the better pitching. I'm anxious to see how the Yanks fare today against the the Tigers as this is an elimination game for the Yanks. How would you like to be a Yankees fan with Burnett as your last hope? Ha!

I'd say most of the hardcore Red Sox fans watch the whole post-season, I know I do.

 

It hasn't been as exciting as last year, but I suppose nothing can compare to the Lincecum complete game, then Halladay no-hitter in just two days.

 

Congrats to the Rangers for taking the Rays out, I hope I can say the same about the Tigers today. Before the post-season started, decided I'm rooting for the Brewers, great to see them take a 2-0 lead and hopefully sweep tonight, they have a great team.

Sorry about the bump but I wanted to post this. Made me feel a little better about the Sox missing the playoffs to the lame Rays.
