Sorry I wasn't implying he was All-Star status QB, I think he's average quarterback that has been pretty good in the playoffs. Unless you are indeed psychic, I don't know how you can say a second year QB will be this or that. As Thunder stated, he did improve a considerable amount from his rookie season.

Btw Peyton has had Reggie Wayne for most of his career

1. He did not improve a considerable amount from one season to the other. His completion rate was as sorry as ever, his interception rate improved and his total yardage improved. He still throws a low rate of TDs, completes a low rate of passes, and I think it was implied that it is indeed a guess that he's not going to amount to anything. That's beside the point. He is not a star, that was the point. If you're not disputing that, then there's nothing for you to dispute.

One last thing though...

Look at John Elway.

Career QB Rating – 79.9

Career Passing % – 56.9

Why is it, that with these kind of stats, Elway is considered a god in Denver, in the Hall of Fame, and is widely respected as one of the greats by all NFL fans?

Stats mean little. How you play with the game on the line, how you play when the pressure is on means everything.

Winning football games is everything.

QB Rating is a poor metric that fails in every aspect. Someone who completes 10/12 passes for 1 TD, 0 interceptions and 120 yards will get a higher rating than someone who was 30/50 with 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions with 400 yards. There's something wrong with that.

Aside from that, it's generally known that John Elway was on horseshit teams until about the mid-90s. Even if this isn't enough, QB ratings is s***.

Winning football games is a team stat. If he finishes with a higher winning percentage than Peyton Manning, does it make him the better player? Nope, does not. The whole winning games thing is a crock of s*** that allows pitchers to win Cy Young awards despite inferior ERA, strikeouts, or other more reliable stats, simply because they had 4 or 5 more wins than everyone else. This is why the only unit that should be measured by wins is the team. No singular player. If you're too thick to realize that, then I guess we've solved our mystery as to why you keep googling your arguments.

That was a pretty weak "we'll leave it at that", btw.

I wasn't trying to disagree with you that he isn't a "Star", so there was nothing left to add.

You're right though, though QB's are the biggest factor in winning games, overall its a team effort.

No they are not. There is no substance to that argument, and furthermore, I was not trying to make that point. Ever. It is team effort, and nothing but team effort. A QB is merely a piece to that puzzle, and there's nothing substantial you could really say towards the argument that he is indeed the biggest factor in games.

Manning gets 18M a year for 16 games over 3-4 months. All the position players mentioned get their 18-20M+ over 162 games over 7 months. Just some perspective. #playqbkid

The physical toll that's taken during one football season from the QB position is not even comparable to that of a baseball season, you don't even need to play to see that. Baseball it's common to see players play every game, and players can often play 10 years easily, some even up to 20. In football, players will usually only get about 8-10, 15 is extremely high, and 20 is pretty much unheard of unless you're a kicker. Not to mention, he is the best QB out there, and could very well retire as the best that ever played.

There's really no way people should be comparing football contracts to baseball contracts.

He sucks lol,On a guy like Randy Moss yes he is good ,On guys that just just don't run Deep routes he sucks .Reason why jets were trying get Nnamdi Asomugha so bad,i wonder how he is going to play this year with the big contract now he can sit back and pay child support

Also seems like jets don't have much faith in Kyle Wilson last years 1st round draft pick (People said he was better then Devin McCourty)<_>

Nnamdi covers the second receiver every time lol, dude is so overrated it's not even funny. "OMG no one ever passes to his side of the field tho!!". Well yeah, he covers the second-best receiver every time, while the best receiver is covered by some other guy who they probably picked up to fill the roster a few years earlier.

Well yeah, every fan of every team is fooled to believe that the entire league is so afraid of him that they just don't throw it to him, when in reality that's just because he covers inferior receivers on the side of the field where most QBs are likely to get intercepted more often.
