Might have been a bit too early for Robertson, and no other reliever would have really helped in that spot. Be prepared, he's going to ask for one more inning out of Nova.

I have been an outspoken fan of Nova. He just doesnt have it today. Joe needs to see that and react to it. His stuff lacks bite, he's off the plate, and he's hanging his curve. It happens. But we have scored on one of Buchholz's bad days, we shouldnt be giving it up

I'd go Robertson and Chamberlain for the 5th-7th depending on who works the easiest. If DRob has a rough 5th, then Joba for the 6th, etc. Soriano warm for the 7th but hopefully in for the 8th and Mo in the 9th

Couple problems with that.

 

1. I'm not sure he's willing to go with any of these guys for more than 3 outs at this point in the season.

 

2. If you went to Robertson in the fourth, you would have needed more than 3 outs from two of those relievers.

True, true. Regardless, today is a big game mostly since you have CC on the hill tomorrow. He can be the rest for your middle relief
