The Yanks will come at the Sox with everything this weekend in an attempt to knock us out of the Post Season. They don't want to be in a position where they will damage the integrity of the Sport by dumping games to Tampa in the final series. Thhis weekend series will be a rain-soaked Yankees-Red Sox war.

Individual pursuits. Granderson is playing for an MVP, and I'm sure the Yankees have a number of minor leaguers (including Montero) who will want to show what they have. They will take one win from the Rays, but any more than that is probably pushing it.

 

And if the Red Sox continue to collapse, the Yankees may want the Red Sox in the playoffs anyway.

very, very poorly. He's a Met castoff, which should say about as much as needed to determine his value. The Yanks might bring Proctor out again, just to cinch this thing.

He merely did that so it wasn't completely obvious the Yanks have been laying down to the Rays and compromising the integrity of Baseball

That's kinda dumb. He doesnt have to play anyone, his team is in the playoffs and his team needs to be the highest priority. He put a top notch team out there and put the best pen arms out there as well and we still lost.
