Which decade?

There are several players with Rizzuto+ numbers that are not in the Hall. That's too low of a standard.

As far as popularity goes, and I'm sure I'm going to get blasted for this, Pedroia isn't as liked across the league as you think. Everyone agrees he's a gamer but the bravado is quite a turn-off outside of the Red Sox fan-base. In fact, he's a reality show and a teary-eyed post-game interview away from being Terrell Owens.

In a tougher clubhouse he'd be taped up and stuffed inside his locker every time he said the words "laser show".

Do you take practice swings while standing in front of the mirror naked and have chicken parm for dinner every night?

I was clearly joking. That was the funniest chicken/Red Sox image I could come up with, given the obscure and moronic reference.

Does that blog pass as funny around here?

Around here, as in this forum? It was everywhere a couple years back man, where the hell have you been?

My standard is who got into the Hall of Fame. By that standard I think it is plenty fair to say that it is a decent comparable. If someone says "Pedroia isn't good enough to get into the hall" I point at Rizzuto and the argument should be over.

Have you taken an opinion poll of players in other clubhouses? What gives you this cherished inside knowledge?

Or, to put it another way, name a single team that wouldn't want Dustin Pedroia... Some teams might decline because they have Utley or Cano, but they wouldn't decline because he's a bad clubhouse guy or because he doesn't make his teammates better or because he's not a great player.

Six4 pretends to know a lot of stuff that we all don't know, he claims his sports knowledge has allowed him to be successful in life. Lol, I wouldn't put too much thought into anything he says. As annoying as he is, it's hard to take him seriously anymore.

Again, if you set the bar that low they'll have to add ten more wings to the Hall. Sorry but ".273/.351/.355/.706 career, 1588 H, 38 HR, 239 2B" will never get another player inducted again. It took him 38 years to be inducted and now his numbers are the bare minimum to waltz right in, end of argument? You don't think his SEVEN World Series Rings, 40 years of broadcasting Yankees games, and boat-load of friends on the veterans committee helped put him over the top? Yes the argument is over, but you're the one that lost. I know others here agree but are probably in no big hurry to back me up. That's coo'.

I haven't been here long but I know I've already read a couple times "imagine how much we'd hate Pedroia if he wore another uniform". You'll find thousands more negative opinions about him on other teams' message boards. Yes he'd be picked for his skills but so would Ricky Henderson and LeBron James. Doesn't mean they'd be liked around the league.

Tough room eh? Now we need signed affidavits from every guy in every clubhouse before talking about a player's personality?

You claimed that you knew Pedroia wasn't liked across the league. Either you know this for fact, or you're just talking out of your ass.

Feel free to scan me copies of all the polls you guys have taken. I don't need proof to know that cocky guys are disliked. Nor do I need further evidence that water is wet.

Is this the part where linear weights tell me that Pedroia is humble?

4:55pm - Dougie calls Six4Three a pussy, stuffs him in Nomar's locker, and dumps the rest of the chicken parm sauce over his head.

Thanks but I want to know less about it' date=' not more.[/quote']

Dude, some advice......your know it all attitude, stubbornness to admit when wrong and ignorance to learn a little more about baseball besides RBI's, Runs and SB's is getting a little tiresome.

People on this board have been pretty patient with you probably because they feel bad picking on someone who makes it so easy for them.

When EVERYONE has an issue with the things you are saying, maybe its time to change the way you think about things because the only thing you are accomplishing is pissing people off.

Request denied and I have yet feel picked on in any way. I'll hold my knowledge for baseball, passion for the Red Sox, and time invested in each against anyone on this board. Here are the key points that I've been blasted on so far:

1. I believe a player who has excelled in the top of his lineup for 9 consecutive years can help his new team from there this year as well.

2. I don't find Dustin Pedroia's cocky attitude to be likable nor sportsman-like.

3. I believe that matching Phil Rizzutto's minimal offensive stats will never get another MLB player into the Hall of Fame again.

4. I think Bonds, Clemens, and A-Rod's stats will be dominating enough for their PED issues to be dismissed by HOF voters. I do not extend this to players with significantly fewer lifetime numbers.

5. I love sarcasm.

6. I couldn't give a flying f*ck about Dougie or his ability to go deep.

7. I don't run and hide when someone mentions an obscure sabermetric stat.

8. I love runs, total bases, speed, and defense.

I might be forgetting a few but that's the basic source for everyone getting their collective panties in a bunch. If those kinds of statements on an online forum infuriate you then the internet just might not be for you.

I am one of the longest active members of this forum man, been a part of this forum 6 of the 7 years its existed. Ive seen members like you come and go, trust me when I say that if you continue the way you have, you wont last.

Im done with responding to you on this matter, I know the rules and the regs.....and will end this before it becomes a sore spot with the admin and moderators of the forum.

I'm sure they've seen personal attacks on new members before and will give you a pass. All I talk about on here is baseball. That fact seems to be lost on a few people.

In a very irritating manner. You pretend to know things you don't, then you try to argue against people with straw man tactics, which you then deny, regardless of proof to the contrary. If you were as innocent as you're pretending to be, people wouldn't be so hostile towards you.

Irritating why, because I defend myself? I know everything that I proclaim to know. The straw man accusation means nothing to me because everyone here does it every day. That's evident by the large number of times you accuse people of it. I'd call people out on it too but as I stated a few days ago, I learned a long time ago that it is a sign of debating weakness. Squirt-guns are fun when you're a kid too....but then you grow up.

Lastly, not a single person here has proven me wrong of anything. What I know that a few of you don't is the difference between a fact, an opinion, and a wish. Valid points are made but not many by those bashing me. A few people have backed me up with some "advanced" stats but of course that goes un-noticed. The only thing I'll confess to is never, ever having heard of that stupid blog. It's not exactly a feather I'd want in my cap anyway.

6:20am - Dougie gives Six4Three an Atomic Wedgie, makes him demonstrate the art of the BP bunt with his waist band still in his arm pits.
