Ill tell the story again...

 

My friend works for the grounds crew. One day, after it had rained the head groundskeeper left the mound in the bullpen half covered up. Beckett turns to my friend, a petty groundkeeper and goes (in his Texas accent) "Why the fahk is this fahking tarp covering my fahking mound!!!!"

 

He tells me its a pretty regular thing, him treating people who he considers less than him like *******s.

 

Combine that with the fact that he headhunts when things are going good against the leagues worst, and hides in the shadows when things are going bad and there you have it.

 

A coward.

 

He picks on the weak man, and when the going gets tough...he gets going, to the clubhouse with his tail between his legs.

 

What has he ever done or accomplished to be treated like an ace? Yeah sure....its fine when he was winning in 2007....but when you are at best a #3 starter...and more likely a #4 then shut your mouth until you back up your punk attitude.

I would too. It seems to me SCM is letting his personal problems get in the way of this. Beckett won't be taken out of the rotation so I'm not worried. Dice-K is the big question mark not Beckett.

All the wrong reasons? In five seasons here hes been great once, good once, average once and bad twice. I dont give a s*** what he did with the Marlins 6 years ago (btw, he never threw over 178 innings for them, hes such a tough WORKHORSE).

Exactly. Not only does he suck but hes also an *******. You said it best...one of the most overrated players in the whole game, yet people walk on egg shells around him. Call it like it is, he sucks...treat him that way...hes had no problem when the tables were in his favor.
