Aceves been pitching well in relief. And he's a better option by far, and other reasons, including the catcher situation.

When Wake pitch in relief, usually because it's a trainwreck game (adding fuel to fire). When Aceves pitch in relief at least there's a chance for a better outcome.

I'd say that the Red Sox have been doing well in spring training, especially with the FLORIDA MARLINS! Man, they got crushed, 8-1!

P.S. I'll explain about the new profile picture later.

Is this guy shot? Since last year' date=' he can't seem to pitch effectively for more than 4 innings.[/quote']

I would say most people around here know that I cannot stand Josh Beckett. I despise everything that he stands for. I said it last year, at some point he will end up as a relief pitcher. I say give him 4 starts, if he cant get his s*** straightened out....stick him in the pen. Who cares how much he makes.....if he sucks he shouldnt be in the rotation. He had 21 starts last season and only had 4 or 5 good starts, he was brutal.

People in Redsox nation call him an ace, yet hes only pitched like one in 1 of the 5 seasons hes been here.

They call him a workhorse, yet hes only thrown over 200 innings 3 times in his career....because of ineffectiveness or injury. An injury prone pitcher is not a workhorse.

They think that hes a strikeout pitcher because he throws a 95 MPH fastball, yet he has NEVER had more than 200 in a season and he averages well below a K an inning.

Josh Beckett looks real mean and nasty while throwing at the heads of the KC Royals but when the NY Yankees light his ass up he walks off the mound after 4 innings with his tail between his legs.
