My overall Red Sox goal

Is for them to overtake St Louis for 2nd on World Series titles. Think we can do it before they win more? We have 7, they have 10. Catching the Yankees just ain't gonna happen, but I would love to see us in second place.

Absolutely it could happen.

 

Winning one WS is tough enough, but I like the direction we're going and with the roster we have I think it's possible to overtake them at some point. I wouldn't count on St. Louis winning any more WS anytime soon. They aren't exactly improving a team that couldn't even crack the playoffs in the pathetic NL Central last season, and if they lose Pujols (highly doubtful) they're really going to struggle.

While I agree that we can take over the Cards, it will be really tough, but i see the Cards being tough enough to keep up in the Central.

I think St. Louis will continue to compete in the NL Central for a long time. As long as you have a mediocre team, you'll probably be in the hunt. It's the worst division in baseball. I just don't see the Cardinals winning a WS anytime soon.

I don't see the Cardinals going anywhere unless they keep Carpenter and Pujols AND give them some more help.
