I'm almost thinking about conceding this one because I think you're going to kick my ass here. Then again, I did concede the finals of the NBA tournament to WhiskeyBreath, but in all fairness, I also thought he was going to beat me and that we should move along with this redraft since voter interest in the NBA redraft diminshed.

At this point, I'm ok with Y228 having the title. First off, I think he's going to win anyway, so it's not like I'm "giving" him anything, but I'm also mentally drained and tired and checked out of this thing. I think it's had its run, and now we can start the other baseball one anyway!!

 

I just don't think it's worth the amount of effort I put into the previous 2 round explanations/strategies/gameplans when I think that Y228 is going to win anyway. That said, I would pay to see the top offense and the top defense face each other.

I mean I think I'd have to ok it with Y228 first. I don't want to insult him or anyone else for putting up a fight to get to the finals and then bowing out once I got there. I just think that this has run it's course and almost everyone is tired of it. I honestly really don't care anymore.

I completely understand wanting to be done with this thing. With that being said, I don't really like the idea of winning due to a concession. So I propose two options, either of which I'd be OK with.

 

1. We call it a draw.

 

2. We don't post any game plans/explanations, and we just allow a two day voting period to determine the winner.

 

What do you think ital?

I mean I think you're clearly going to win this anyway, so how about this. We open up the voting (without explanations) and we have people JUST say the name of the team they think is going to win.

 

So someone will vote either "Italstallianion" or "Yankees228" and if the team that he didn't choose wants and explanation, they can ask for one. That should be quick and easy and people wouldn't need to type out long posts or get personal with this.

Yeah so would I. Not sure how'd I approach it from a defensive standpoint. I'd want to protect against the deep ball, but I'd also want to pressure Manning. So I'd probably go with the 3-3-5 look a lot, subbing in Kenny Phillips for Bradie James. That way I can bring Rolle or Harper (or both) up into the box to blitz with Harrison and Ware (and it would also allow those two to blitz the A and B gaps instead of just the C gap), while also protecting against the pass with my two corners and a single high safety (or two safeties). I could also use Phillips to play corners coverage against Clark, who really scares me in this matchup.

 

I know we weren't supposed to go with explanations, but it's a very good conversation lol.

Good job Y228, you deserve to win this. While I hate losing at anything, I don't mind losing to a team like yours. Besides, out of 15 teams I think this is a good enough finish anyway, so I'm not too worried. Oh well, on to the baseball redraft now!!

I think he gave up to start the baseball redraft. Even if he didn't have the better team I don't think he should have gave up. We've been making these teams for months and to just give up at the end..again(see basketball redraft) is really worthless. Another couple days of voting wouldn't have mattered to the baseball redraft anyways because there is currently 9 people. You gave up this for really nothing.

Ah OK, your last sentence confused me a bit, because it seemed like you were addressing someone who commented recently, but I gotcha.

 

As for ital, I do see what you're saying, but because of what happened in the previous round (which I take full responsibility for), I don't blame him for wanting to stop any more bickering and arguing before it starts.
