i'm surprised he's done as well as he has in the majors, he's not ready. he has a great eye and i really like the way he sees the ball and he's got a lot of power but he needs to fix his swing

Fair point. I tend to believe that the ump should call the same strike zone against lefties and righties, but I see what you're saying.

sometimes i wonder how much the bars on their mask affect their vision. that's what keeps them from seeing many low pitches and depending on which side of the catcher they set up on, the bars on either side of their face could obstruct their view of the corners as well

Yeah, seriously. That's something that has always irked me, regardless of where the principle is applied. I love the southern accent though - it's a real turn on to the ladies when you're outside the South.
