I question if he can hit at all.

i'm surprised he's done as well as he has in the majors, he's not ready. he has a great eye and i really like the way he sees the ball and he's got a lot of power but he needs to fix his swing

The 0-2 pitch to Scutaro has been a strike the entire night. Hope it doesn't hurt Phil.

EDIT: No harm.

Not really. The plate has been wide on the other side, but inside to lefties/outside to righties has been tight.

But you aren't FROM Mississippi right?

Nah, but I might as well be. I've got family here and it's pretty much my second home. I'm from Arkansas but Arkansas/Mississippi are pretty much interchangeable states in my opinion. Very similar. (And yes, you can spare me the jokes ignorant people)

Fair point. I tend to believe that the ump should call the same strike zone against lefties and righties, but I see what you're saying.

sometimes i wonder how much the bars on their mask affect their vision. that's what keeps them from seeing many low pitches and depending on which side of the catcher they set up on, the bars on either side of their face could obstruct their view of the corners as well

No way bro. You are very smart, no doubt. Don't care for people who think others are ignorant because of where they come from or because of their accents.

How about Dice-K.....thus far???? More runs ARE NEEDED.

daisuke really does have a good slider. i remember being excited about it when he first came over to the states. i wish he'd work more of his good fastball/slider combination rather than throwing 4 other alright pitches

Yeah, seriously. That's something that has always irked me, regardless of where the principle is applied. I love the southern accent though - it's a real turn on to the ladies when you're outside the South. :)

believe it or not, there some accents that us men from the rural north use as well

On a night when he seems capable of throwing strikes, it makes absolutely zero sense to not throw them to Mr Noodlebat. Quit going 3-0 and 3-1 to their second best player.

yes, the guy who gave jessica alba herpes and wouldn't pay for the taxi fair of some other poor girl who he gave herpes and then kicked out of his hotel room is the epitome of class
