Are you from Virginia?

Yes. I grew up in Hampton VA but have been in the Richmond area for a long time.

One of my older brother's got me into the Sox at a young age. Crazy huh?

Sox fans based here in NYC have been calling Yankee Stadium "the Toilet" for years too. Definitely since 2002...at least that's the first time I heard it here. The only difference now is that it's a newer toilet. (I actually prefer "terlet' date='" in honor of old Archie.) Which is why I thought it appropo when the Wanks signed Swisher.[/quote']

i think the old one looked more like a urinal. the new stadium definitely looks like a toilet though

Ah. When I think of Virginia I don't think Southern in the least, but that's coming from someone living in Mississippi.

I went to Univ of Richmond for 2 years. Love that town.

Very nice school. Very nice. I graduated from VCU after transferring from Longwood. WAY back in the day.

Hughes is never going to fulfill his promise unless he stops over-using and overthrowing that cutter.

he definitely throws his cutter too much, it's like his safety blanket and it's not good enough to be a go-to pitch. that's really what sets buchholz and lester apart from buchholz since he developed his sinker this year and lester after he came back from cancer and polished his cutter

At least you don't sound like a "Really uppity black guy" which seems to be the "theme" with me here in Michigan.

f that. a college town should be better than that, even if it's in the middle of nowhere

morgan has a good point. hughes was standing int he baseline without the ball, hall should have ran in to him to shake him up and get the interference call
