wow, the yankees are starting to get desperate. we've already accomplished what i wanted to do to some degree - keep the yankees from being able to rest players. if we could somehow mess up their rotation going into the playoffs, that would be perfect

The worst case scenario for the Yankees (that ends in them making the playoffs), is with CC pitching on Sunday. If that's the case, they would still probably slot him in for games two and five of the ALDS. No guarantee it goes the distance, but if it does, CC will be starting two games no matter what.

Not in a three or four game series. The Red Sox have swept them once in a two game series and the Rays have done it twice.

I don't think there's any way CC would end up starting the one game playoff. If they lose tonight, CC is going to start Tuesday, and then again on Sunday if they haven't clinched.
