Beckett's usually underpitched his peripherals (as in, his ERA has typically been higher than his advanced metrics would suggest). Then again, Theo also paid Lackey a lot of money, and Lackey's historically been a pitcher that outpitched his peripherals.

No va for Nava on the 2011 team. It 's tough not to root for him, but he doesn't have what it takes to stick at this level. He's this year's Morgan Burkhart. He'll stick around as a spare part for a couple or three years, but nothing more than that.
