The A's came back to take the lead. A's lead 4-3 with 2 outs in the 9th inning. The Sox may not lose ground to the Rays. That's it. Game over. A's win. Sox still 6 back in the loss column.

The Sox remain on life support. With 6 games left against the Rays and 6 games back in the loss column, the Sox need to take 5 of those 6 games to have any realistic shot at the playoffs. The Sox have not been able to win 5 of 6 against the O's this season, so I don't expect that they will be able to do against the Rays.

Hoping the Rays lose even with Hellickson on the mound. It's a shame though how when the Rays lose can never gain ground. For example the game in Texas when we blew the game in the 9th.

Doesn't surprise me to see them tie it. As I said, Benoit looked bad in the seventh, and it carried over into the eighth. I don't even give him credit for the Buck strikeout, as that AB was just terrible on Buck's part.

Benoit has thrown 37 pitches in this outing and he walked Ellis with 2 outs. Maddon is bringing in Cormier. He probably will not use him in the next two games.
