Big, big hit last night. Glad to see him in, glad to see him producing in the clutch again. It's like 2009 never happened.

It did happen. Remember Nick Green.

I remember his solid pitching appearance. Thats where the memories end.

Ehh, Hall was better on the mound.

Actually I liked Nick Green. Was he a high end SS no, but even with his collapse near the end his season numbers were OK and he was solid defensively. I wanted him back as a bench IF. Turns out he may have come in handy.

Engage your small sample size filters, but Lowrie's hitting .311/.426/.444/.870.

Yeah. Over about 60 PA's. But still, he's not to blame for how small the sample is, it's his job to perform when he *does* get put in, and he's doing that.

I still hold out this fantasy that Lowrie winds up taking the SS job by storm next year, not because Scutaro sucks but because Lowrie's just plain better. He's def got the potential, if the team is openminded enough to give him a decent look. For now I'll settle for him pretty much guaranteeing he makes the roster if healthy next year. Once a guy's on the roster, anything can happen. Young players have changed the plan before. Youk did it, Papelbon did it twice so you just never know.

Another solid game for Jed.

Man, this has been a decent year for "my" guys. Lowrie on the bounceback, Nava's solid Red Sox debut, Dusty Brown getting a look, Yamacio Navarro getting to AAA -- what next,an Aaron Bates callup? Bubba Bell perhaps? Khoury on a September callup/

Lowrie was solid before all his injuries. Looks like he is solid again. The FO has developed a lot of good young players in recent years. Lowrie is one of them--if he can stay healthy.

lowrie continues to produce at an elite level. i don't expect him to maintain his current slg, but he's always been a high on base guy and he's always played great defense (when he's not out of position at second). if he continues to hit like this the sox will have to find him a way to get him at bats even when pedroia returns
