Thanks for the input. I'm sure no one would have figured this out...

Well he is a Yankees fan so I'd expect him to say something like this. I find it hell of annoying every time something goes bad he states it on the game thread.

What moves? At what cost?

What ever is possible. The fact is that this team isn't going anywhere without plugging some of these holes right now. We have a ton of talent, it would be a shame to see the team out of contention by the time everyone is healthy.

Nava has been optioned to Pawtucket.

To make room for 3.3 million dollar bust Jeremy Hermida. Brilliant. At least we'll be consistent: he can't run, play defense or hit.

I agree. Sometimes the "business" part of this industry is frustrating. We remove a talented ballplayer for one we've made a mistake on in the hopes we'll get out money's worth. In other words, we're making our team worse.

I think Hermida was only brought in to improve his overall value and try to trade him to a team in the offseason for prospects. But yeah, no f***ing point in replacing a guy who's batted roughly .290 or so in his MLB debut with a guy who can't field or hit very well...

That's the business part of the equation. The baseball part says that we're making a struggling team worse by sending the real player to the minors.
