Pull a hammy on a HR stride?:o;)

f***.

I was thinking more like the hamstring/calf injury James Loney had the other day where he couldn't move after his swing. Yadier Molina had to hold him up so he didn't fall over.

pretty quick turnaround. MLB did you no favors. Start off earlier than most with a 4 game set in Boston, then having to turn around and go to Oakland to play the next night and for 10 straight nights on the west coast. The A's have been hot lately too, but you do catch a break in Seattle. No Felix

Well, atleast its a stretch on the West Coast. Sometimes when they go out there for only 3 or so games, the travel and time difference does affect them, but with a longer trip they will be adjusted by the end of the trip.

I think they need to adjust their offensively philosophy with this lineup on the field. More sac bunts, playing for one-innings, and more "small" ball. These Sox aren't going to wear starting pitchers out early, going deep in counts, trying to get to the BP early. These Sox can't sit back and wait for the three run homer. Tito needs to adjust his philosophy to the team that's on the field-- not the one he wishes he had.

I agree with you on this one. The sox lost Pedroia, VMart and Ellsbury and gained McDonald, Hall, and Patterson. All 3 of those guys are pretty fast and tailoring your approach to your team could be a very good decision. I think you saw that in the win vs Texas. Scutaro reached first twice and McDonald sacrificed him both times.

In all reality, this team is going nowhere with Patterson in. They've got 4 outfielders I'd rather see play, and right now Hall/Lowrie would be better solutions at 2B. But for some f***ing reason, they play him pretty much every game, and worse than that-- they put him in the 2 spot and give him 4 or 5 chances to be a blackhole every game. Maybe I've just seen a few select plays, but he looks like a defensive liability every time he's out there.

And thank you for not bringing up what they did with Scutaro's lead off double when the game was still 3-1, nothing! I think he's still standing on second base. With McDonald up, that's a sac bunt situation all the way. Instead, he grounds to third base, brilliant...
