But even if it was a poor throw' date=' it was not thrown to the bleachers, the screen, the public, or thrown to the incorrect base.[/quote']

Yes, I agree Scutaro is a major league baseball player.

Nice that the Sox are getting something for their $5.5 mil/year...

I spelled criticise correctly. At least you're just being a troll whereas the other kid is just stupid.

Look buster, I've asked on yahoo answers many times how to spell "Criticize" and "mike t" responded telling me "Criticize" is correct spelling. But thank you for knowing nothing.

I believe that is how the word is spelled in England.

As well as much of Canada, Australia, India, Pakistan, Scotland/Wales and I'd imagine the West Indies as well, but I'm not positive on that one.

Hey, feel free to whine. He's been pretty solid.

If you weren't an occasionally funny troll, I'd rip on you for being retarded, but you get a free pass.

He's been weak in the field, albeit not a disaster like your guy at the hot corner.

Hey, at least they're hitting a little...

Scutaro's always been an average SS.

And hey, at least "my guy" at the hot corner isn't a statue. Now that he's stopped being a bonehead, he's left you zero reasons to bitch and moan about him, so feel free to cling to past mistakes.

But in the end, it all boils down to this: "Sox suck, Beltre sucks, Scutaro sucks, Drew sucks, the FO sucks".

Hey, it is what it is. Glad you're finally on a high horse, as it's been a couple games since Beltre has booted a ball hit directly at him.

Of course, we still get that tense empty feeling in the stomach each time it's hit to third...

Not on a high horse. He's always been a good D 3B, you'd know that if you believed the stats and watched him play before.

As TW101 said: "How about acknowledging we have a pretty good 3B on our hands?"

Then again, and this is an honest question: Is there anything you actually like about this team?:dunno:

The last time you asked me something like that I wrote a few paragraphs, then never got a reply. LOL.

I like Pedroia and Youk and Papelbon. I like Bard and Hermida in their roles. I like Tito Francona. And Lester. I even like Dice and am pretty sure he'd be a much better pitcher somewhere else. I like Beckett's attitude and his mound presence. I like Wake. And Mike Lowell. And our excellent center fielder, Jacoby Ellsbury. And I like Drew in the 8-hole at $4 million.

so you have no prolblem paying Mike lowell 12 mil to sit on a bench but yet you have a problem paying 15 mil for Drew

nice logic

Exactly.

Except I'm sure he thinks Lowell should play ahead of Beltre' date=' and, in that case, Rhet probably thinks he would be worth the money.[/quote']

I'm sure he does but Lowell cant play 3rd base anymore , that's why he is sitting on the bench and Theo made the move for Beltre

But the fact is, he shouldn't.

rhet also doesn't believe Lowell's lack of range and health issues matter.

also , Rhet just dosent like Drew or Beltre PERIOD

Drew could mash 30+ HR and 100 RBI's and Rhet would still complain that he didn't have enough RBI's and took to many walks

Beltre could have no errors for the remainder of the season and he would still say his defense sucks

I'm not saying I agree with Rhet' date=' but the contradiction you guys were trying to show isn't really there.[/quote']

Question :

who's the better option to play third base for Boston , Lowell or Beltree

I'd prefer Beltre.

Again though, you're going after Rhet's comment in the wrong way.

Is Lowell a bench player? Yes he is. Does rhet have a problem with him being a bench player and making 12 million ? He does not. He may think Lowell should start ahead of Beltre, but he's not, and he's never once contended Lowell is a salary sink.

This should be worded, "I'm not saying I agree with [Dipre's and redsoxrules's depiction of what Rhet would say], but the contradiction you guys were trying to show isn't really there."

Youk -- and we make a deal for a power hitting 1B. But it's gotta be a guy who'll be here and productive next year too -- NO rentals.
