Lawrence Taylor Arrested and Charged with Rape of 15-Year-Old Girl

What a f*** up this guy has been since his career ended... and it culminates in this. Even if it was consensual she still can't consent. Happened in my roommates hometown of Suffern, NY. He was arrested this morning.

 

I shouldn't demonize the guy before his trial obviously, but I just can't see how he could be innocent. I guess I should withhold judgment until the conviction (or lack thereof) but it reeks.

I'm not up on the details of the "case" other than what I've read today. But as a 54 year old man, I just can't understand why he put himself in a position where this could happen. My only guess would be drugs and money. Two things I don't have. In any case, he should have known better. Why engage anyone that young? Even if she "looked" 18 years old.

This is so disgusting if it was forced, and if its found to be the case he wil go to jail for a long time. Rape is absolutely disgusting even if it is only statutory. And SOTK is right, don't think he's getting a taste of his own here. I shouldn't judge so early, but this is always a sensitive issue.

Report: New info could help Taylor

 

The 16-year-old hooker whose claims about having sex with ex-Giant Lawrence Taylor led to a rape charge against him actually bragged to a friend about making “easy money” because “I didn’t even have to f— him,” a source told The Post.

 

The friend, who drove with the hooker to meet Taylor that night, has given a sworn statement that the girl told her immediately afterward that the Hall of Famer merely engaged in masturbation before paying her $300 — not sexual intercourse or oral sex, said the source.

 

If what the friend saying is true, the source noted, “that clears him of rape-3” — the third-degree rape charge lodged against Taylor, 51, for the May 6 tryst in a Rockland County hotel.

 

“This is reasonable doubt,” said the source, noting that there has to be sexual intercourse with an underage person to sustain that felony charge.

 

The friend — a stripper who lived with the hooker and accused pimp Rasheed Davis in The Bronx — told investigators she has come forward to contradict the hooker’s tale to cops because of “three things: they didn’t have sex, she’s lying, and he’s innocent,” according to the source.

 

Rockland County prosecutors, who are handling the rape case against Taylor, did not respond to a request for comment.

 

Taylor’s lawyer, Arthur Aidala, declined to comment today.

 

But after Taylor was freed on $75,000 bond last week Aidala had said L.T. “didn’t have sex with anybody, period.”

 

The source said the hooker’s friend also has told probers that the girl lied when she told cops that Davis beat her that night because she initially refused to go to Taylor’s room.

 

In fact, the friend has said, Davis slapped her with an open hand and kicked her because the hooker had told him her sister’s boyfriend had stolen brandy and marijuana from the pimp’s house, according to the source.

 

And, when a buddy of Taylor’s called to ask Davis for a hooker for the former Giant, “She was excited to make some money,” according to the source.

 

Davis, the hooker and the friend then drove to a Holiday Inn in Suffern, NY, where Taylor had rented a suite. In the hooker’s purse was a bottle of brandy — given to her by the friend — that was later found by cops in Taylor’s room, the source said.

 

The underage girl told The Post last weekend that when she went into Taylor’s suite “the lights were off and he didn’t see my face was bruised,” the girl recounted. “Lawrence asked me my age and I told him I was 19.”

 

She said she feared for her life if she didn’t have sex with Taylor, although she also said he didn’t force himself on her.

 

“If I didn’t go through with it, [Taylor] would’ve called Rasheed and there would have been consequences,“ she said. “God knows what would’ve happened if I didn’t go through with it.”

 

But in fact, her friend has told investigators, when she left the hotel and “comes into the car, she’s bragging that she was able to make money and ‘I didn’t even have to f— him,’ ” according to the source.

 

Davis was arrested early May 6 when he returned to The Bronx with the girl, who had text-messaged her uncle, who in turn alerted cops. He faces a federal sex-trafficking charge.

 

Taylor was busted shortly afterward when the girl told cops about their tryst in the hotel.

 

The hooker’s friend said that the underage girl began living with her and Davis in late April with the knowledge of the girl’s uncle and her sister, according to the source. The friend also has said the girl began dancing at several strip clubs and then turning tricks to pay $150 per week in rent to Davis, the source said.

 

“This was totally by her own free will,” the source said.

Agreed. It looked bad and I had some bad things to say about him (which I regret now), but I also did note that it needs to play out.

Yeah, I personally tend to react quickly and a bit irrationally when it comes to things like this. And yeah, looks pretty bad for the pimp, I'm guessing he's not as scary as LT, so I'm thinking the pun works out perfectly.

Where I grew up in Maine it was still Giants country, to a certain extent it still is and I couldn't even read this story. I idolized LT when he played for the Giants. I'm glad I finally took the time to read this thread, I'd seen all the headlines and felt like crying. LT has had problems with drugs since adolescence, so I expect some effed up behavior but the headlines were screaming scum, pedophile, rapist... He should know better but he has never had an ounce of discipline. And agreed, the pimp will be the new "wide-receiver". LT will just lay low (again) for a period and then he'll be back to his messed up but not totally sick existence. Still the best linebacker, if not overall defensive player I ever saw and when you consider he was at least double-teamed his entire career - it's the stuff of legends. Period.

LT is arguably the greatest defensive player of all time, and its a shame his life is so messed up. But yeah, this didn't turn out to be him being a disgusting human being like I thought.
