With Mauer signing long term, I would think the Twin would be dangling Ramos as trade bait. He looks to be legit and is just about as blocked in as it gets. The price may be steep, but could really pay off.

 

I'm betting Bard would be a very tempting return for Minny. I would hate to see Bard leave though. But for a starting catcher of Ramos quality would be hard to argue against.

Well he bests Exposito in just about every offensive category. And throws out about 15% more base runners. Not to mention he is probably ready now. And Exposito is not.

I could be convinced that the difference is worth a significant prospect, but it would have to be a really good argument.
