Are you really arguing this. V-marts arm is weaker then a noodle, it's common knowledge. Sure our pitchers could do a better job, but I doubt the rate would change that drastically.

The pitcher bears some responsibility, but even with the big jumps allowed, our catchers should still be able to throw out an old lady or opposing catcher occasionally.

What i mean, and i stand by it, is that a lot of the stolen bases this pitching staff gives up are off the pitcher. Not much the catcher can do (even if he had a good arm, which neither of these two are blessed with) if the runners are getting huge leads and jumps every attempt.
