It was obvious that his chances of making the bigs was over, but he worked his ass off to make something of himself.

His chances of making it to the bigs were as close to zero as could be. It takes some serious cajones to do what he did, but it also takes prime time athletes at the top of their game to play in the big leagues. A kid recovering from a serious brain surgery rendering him with stroke like symptoms does not typically fit into that category. I hope the sox see how hard he worked and are willing to offer him a job in their organization as a coach
