191 innings from DiceK? Wow.

And VMart is going to have a .012 IsoPatience?

And Scutaro is going to have a second career season?

It has V-Mart's obp being considerably lower. He's too good of a hitter to have a .323 obp

That's an interesting OBP projection for V-Mart considering he's had an OBP above .370 in 4 out of his 5 full seasons.

Pedroia 2B

Martinez C

Youkilis 1B

Ortiz DH

Drew RF

Lowell 3B

Reddick LF

Lin CF

ORIOLES (10-16)

TBA

Pitching: RHP Jason Berken.

Game time: 1:05 p.m.

TV/Radio: None

Notes: It's Try And Win A Job Day in Sarasota as Embree, Schoeneweis and Nelson attempt again to impress the coaches after failing to on Monday. ... This will also be the final tune-up for Lester before he starts the second game of the season against the Yankees.

Lester looks ready for the season and Embree completely failed. He needs to get cut now, experiment over.

Vmart had a monster game with 2 HR (1 granny) and 6 RBIs.

Schoenweis stinks too. Ditto for Shouse.

Lester has looked really impressive lately. Hopefully he can avoid getting off to the slow start that he did last year with 5.40 ERA in April and a 5.86 ERA in May. He received 5 out of his 8 losing decisions in those months and then went on to have a 2.35 ERA over the next 4+ months. I think he's fully capable of pitching 200+ innings with an ERA under 3, even in Fenway Park.

Yeah. He's a career .372 OBP and posted a .405 OBP with the Sox last year. .323 is a borderline ridiculous.

It's quite literally almost impossible for any hitter (Let alone V-Mart) to have a 12-point difference between their BA and OBP.

Our pitching is not as deep as we had hoped, Dice k hasn't reached 90 mph today or all spring. If he's toast, so are the Sox, because that will help even out an area where they should have been dominant. He just hit 90 in his second inning of work.

Edit: He hit 90 a couple of times. Hopefully, he is still building arm strength.
