I watched live cricket for free for about 1 1/2 years.

 

I lived in apartment complex with a huge Hindu population. There was a tennis court in front of my apartment. During the warmer months, there would be 2-3 hours of games every night.

 

It's kind of cool.

 

The best part was the wives. And their cooking!

It depends on what kind of political thread. If there's a difference in views (ie liberal vs. conservative) then it can get pretty offensive. Far more offensive than having people talk about a sport they like. I'd rather have a Rugby thread than an American Football thread but you don't see me trying to start an ignorance revolution over it.
