Good signing for the Broncos? I ask ya'll because you've watched him play an awful lot more than I have.

Not sure of the money they gave him but he should be good as long as he doesn't have to be a starter. He's more effective as a situational pass rusher.

The Pats cannot afford to miss on draft picks this year. This team has to hit on some picks like they did in 03. I'm getting tired of their poor draft record to be honest.

I just realized Ron Brace was a 2nd round pick. Wow' date=' what a waste.[/quote']

This year will be key for him, he was having trouble picking up the system and it really slowed him down. He was trying to think what he needed to do in each situation instead of just reacting to it on instinct, because of this he was getting beaten off the snap a lot. He started to really get things together down the stretch so it will be interesting to see what he does this year.

I would keep an eye on McKenzie as well, he has a ton of talent where they need it (ILB). He missed last year with an injury but looks to be healthy and ready to go. He could make a huge difference.

I bet the best play Watson makes in Cleveland is tracking down a defender who picked off a pass. We all know he's going to get ample opportunities with all the picks they throw in Cleveland.

Patriots OLB Adalius Thomas was reportedly not in attendance as the team opened its offseason conditioning program Monday.

Thomas indicated to the Boston Herald via email that he didn't even know the program had started. Players usually receive invites to such functions, so it's possible the Pats don't want him there after a tumultuous 2009 season

He didn't know it was going to snow during the season either.

Florida QB Tim Tebow has private workouts scheduled with the Bills, Seahawks, Patriots, Browns, and Redskins in the coming weeks.

Initial reports on Tebow's Pro Day workout were mixed, but they're now skewing toward the positive. "From the Senior Bowl to now, the improvement is ridiculous," NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock said. "I was blown away." Tebow's ball now starts from his ear instead of his waist, his footwork was reportedly "flawless," and he's succeeded in shortening his stride. Tebow has accepted an invitation to New York City for the draft.

If I'm the Pats and he's there in the 2nd round I grab him. Then groom him over the next 4-5 seasons(like the Packers did with Rodgers), and when Brady retires, let him take over.

I can't see the Pats wasting a 2nd or 3rd round pick on a project when they have so many immediate needs to be addressed. If he's still available in the later rounds then maybe he's worth a gamble.

The Pats already have a young back-up QB who has NFL skills and is familiar with their system.

The Patriots do have 3 2nd round picks, so if they were to stash a pick, this would be the year to do it. That said, they have a lot of more important and immediate needs than at QB, so they shouldn't waste a 1st or one of their 3 2nd rounders on it. Maybe a 3rd or later.

The Patriots have reportedly agreed to terms with TE Alge Crumpler.

Crumpler would jump to the top of the depth chart after the losses of Ben Watson and Chris Baker, but he's purely a blocking tight end as this stage of his career. The Pats remain likely to pick up a pass-catching tight end in the second round of the draft.

Any good TE's in the draft? I don't follow college ball at all.

Check Boston.com today. I think it was Breer who did an article on the top TE that the Pats may draft. I don't recall his name. I think he played at Oklahoma and missed this past year with an injury. But he supposed to a stud.

There you go.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like he could cause some real problems for the defense in the red zone with his size.

It says he will probly cost a first round pick. With the way the Patriots have used their TE's in the offense I don't see how the will use a first rounder on one unless they plan to actually use the TE once in a while.

I agree. I see that Pats going for an edge player so some pressure can be put on the QB.

But I would not be surprised if they traded down or out of the 1st round. They always look for "Value". Still, there will be someone worth drafting at 22. We'll see.

Mike Lombardi of the National Football Post is "hearing" that Florida QB Tim Tebow won't last past the second round of the draft.

Round two seems right, and we're betting Tebow is the third quarterback drafted behind Sam Bradford and Jimmy Clausen. It's worth noting that the Patriots have been connected to Tebow and have three second-round picks.

Mynfldraft.com has the Patriots using their last 2nd round pick (#53) on Rob Gronkowski who is a TE from Arizona. For the record, they have him going 1 pick before the Bengals take TE Aaron Hernandez, who was Tebow's running mate in Florida.

Rob Gronkowski is a badass dude. He missed all of last year for Arizona with an injury but I would love to snatch him up.

NFL Network's Mike Mayock expects the Patriots to strongly consider Georgia Tech WR Demaryius Thomas (foot) if he's available at No. 22 overall.

Mayock points to Randy Moss' age (33) and Bill Belichick's eye for on-tape talent when calling Thomas an option; the former Yellow Jacket isn't expected to work out before the draft. Thomas is a deep threat like Moss, in addition to being a pro-ready blocking wide receiver. Mayock also thinks Dez Bryant could be a Patriot if his draft stock is truly in free fall.

I dont know about the Pats using 1st round pick on a wide receiver. Their greatest need is rushing the QB

If Dez Bryant is still available with the Pats' position in the draft' date=' you take Dez Bryant.[/quote']

Absolutely. I'd be really surprised if he was around at 22 though.

BB has said many times he doesn't like taking WR's high in the draft. It is a position that doesn't translate well from college to the NFL and he prefers to bring in guys that have already played in the NFL.
