Celtics win even though they sucked. 86-76. they played horribly. PP-16 Rondo 16. ttop scores for the Celtics. 1-10 from behind the arch. 79.6 from the charity stripe. Lopez for the nets scored 23 and 20 for Alston.

Our Bench still not great. Glad we have a real rest for the next few days. 24-11 on the bench side in favor of the Celtics.

Daniels was not there tonight. Sheldon had 8 off the bench and Scal had 5.

Celtics need shoot better from beyond the arch.

Next Game Wednesday.

Nets are awful' date=' honestly disappointed with a 10 point win... even without Daniels. We played awful, but a win is a win.[/quote']

true and 1-10 from behind the arch is what worries me especially since Wallace was on the floor a lot with Perk being in foul trouble early.

Meanwhile, the Kings, my other NBA team, are doing better than expected so far. 500, and people are starting to label Tyreke Evans the next Dwyane Wade.

Way to make me look like an ass Tyreke. :thumbdown

From what I've seen of Evans, I'm impressed. But Wade slashes and gets to the basket with grace and finesse while Evans seems to use his brute strength to get to the basket. He reminds me more of a young Paul Pierce. He finishes strong. With Kevin Martin out, Evans should get a lot of playing time. He needs to work on his shot.

I've liked Jonny Flynn since Syracuse. Little man has big game. I'd like to see him win RoY.

My marketing teacher claims to have some inside info and thinks the Celtics will look long and hard at Iverson.

I don't think bringing him on board would be a catastrophe or anything - maybe the chance to be on a leading title contender will set him straight - but I don't like the odds. What a bench if it happens and works out well, though.

I was a big advocate of bringing Marbury here.

Iverson still has some left in the tank, but I don't think he can put his ego aside like Marbury was able to.

No way in hell should he be brought here.

The potential reward is enormous. I might favor bringing him in if he was on a deal where he could be easily discarded if he started acting up. We're not a young team that will be scarred for the season if Iverson was signed, turned out to be a cancer, and was canned.

It's not going to work out. It's not a situation like Marbury's where he would easily take a minimum contract because he just got $20 million to leave a team. Iverson is looking for (1) money and (2) playing time. Playing time we don't really have to offer to him at this point, especially once Davis gets back.

Perkins, Garnett, Pierce, Allen all need to see 30+ minutes, Rondo around 35, Daniels, Wallace, Davis, 20+, Williams/House 10-15. There really isn't much room to add a guy looking to get his points, start games, and play big minutes.

Yeah, I also don't see how it would work with the Celtics. The playing time just isn't there. At this point in his career he might settle for being a role player, but not someone who rides the bench.

Article about Pierce's situation and whether or not he should be given a contract extension.

Just to spitball, if we could sign Pierce to a two year extension after this one (this 'OMGZ HE MUST FINISH HIS CAREER AS A CELTIC' stuff is pure ********), and avoid doing anything stupid financially, we could potentially set ourselves up for another good summer in 2012 while still being respectable the next couple of seasons, since KG's ginormous deal expires then. A few of the free agents available are Carmelo Anthony, Andris Biedrins (option), and a few restricted guys like Jason Thompson and Anthony Randolph. Plus there's always the trade route.

Wait, izod? They named the arena for izod?

Yep' date=' its named after IZOD lol. Its right next to the Giants/Jets facility in East Rutherford, NJ[/quote']

Yeah it used to be the Continental Airlines Arena. Saw the Celtics there before the big three(when Reaf LeFrentz and Antone Walker were starting) and Saw a playoff Bruins game there. Fun even though on both occasions they lost.

Perkins has been VERY impressive this year. We may have a future after the big three after all (just a little premature) (thats what she said) (just a little immature) (CASTIGS IS BACK) (WOOOOOOOO) (s***** COCK)
