Maybe.

He would certainly investigate the move.

Red was into having the "Horses" to win. Sheed is such a horse.

He brought several miscreants to Boston. Sidney, X-Man, etc.

The more I think about it, yes.

plus sheed has that awesome bald spot.

That was an obliteration tonight in Philly.

Sheed - 6/8 from 3

its nice to have him off the bench. he is really a hot shooter for us and i hope the Techs stops since he had one tonight.

Sheldon Williams is a pleasant surprise. 11/7 tonight. Pounded the defensive boards. Smart shots. Good D.

this game was a pleasant surprise for me not only by the play but winning by that much over the 76ers.

Artest is a sociopath.

He'll probably get shot in South Central.

Artest will shut his mouth and know his role.

I like what I am seeing so far this season. They look like a better team than the 2008 championship team. The bench is so much deeper and carries more ammos. Whenever the big three has a bad night like Garnett and Ray Allen had the other night, the bench is there to back them up.

They look good, like I expected with some of the addition's they'd made. I think they're looking like the team to beat, and I hope they maintain success better than the 08-09 squad. (Really? Were they 27-2 or 27-3 to start the year? Either way, totally fell off the planet)

yeah 27-2. i though Emmz and the guy above were the same person with the avatar.

Celts are looking good this year. They might have a shot against the Western Powerhouse afterall...

What are you talking about? The top of the East is just as good, if not better, than the top of the West. Last year specifically, you could argue that the East had the better top 3 all-around.

Yeah, it's just collectively that the West is usually a much better and tougher league, I agree with that. However, I think that the Lakers this year are considered to be almost the certain pick for the championship. Isn't everyone picking Lakers this year? Nah, I think our additions are just as significant as LA's. We've got a good thing going this year, I think we're the team to beat this year. I really don't think Shaq makes a huge impact in Cleveland, he's just not half the man he used to be. I remember when Shaq was arguably the best player in basketball, he was just too huge to be stopped, and he was agile for someone so massive. He's still huge and strong, he's just not very agile at all anymore.

The Celtics have started hot every year since the big three was assembled. I'm not surprised by this at all. Unlike last year, the C's have everyone healthy, and legit bench, minus a backup PG maybe. Rasheed has been all he has been cracked up to be, and guys like Williams and Daniels are contributing nicely. Big Baby will be back in about a month, so the depth only gets better. Maybe the C's can find a backup PG off the waiver wire like they did last year with Step. C's are by far the best team in the East.

Yes, but the Lakers are just as loaded up as the C's are. We are the Beast of the East, but the Lakers are the guys who we're going to have to beat

If everything in the regular season and playoffs pan out the way the way we should, we could have one of the best NBA Finals matchups ever in the Lakers vs. the Celtics. The NBA and Stern would jizz in their pants if that was the case.

Yes, the West all around is better, but for someone to say "maybe the Celtics can contend with the Western powerhouse" is incredibly asinine.

I liked the Lakers better with Ariza in Artest's role, honestly. Yeah, Artest is a better player, but for the role that Ariza played I just think he was a better fit. We'll see. Ariza almost stuck it to the Lakers last night, that's for damn sure. Too bad the Rockets couldn't hang on in OT... great game though.

I didn't like Shaq to Cleveland when it happened because I just feel that it clogs up room under the basket for LeBron. Cleveland was fine without Shaq... he wasn't the move they needed to make.

And I'm sorry, but the Nuggets can absolutely take the crown of the West from the Lakers. I think they match up very well with them and expected a much better Western finals last year than what was given.

Absolutely, and I agree with you that Ariza played the role probably much better than Ron Artest, and was probably a better fit, not to mention Ron's shown that he's more than capable of going into full-fledged douchebag mode. I think it was a huge gamble for a guy who's a lockdown defender, and all-around better player than Ariza, but like you say, I personally think Ariza is a better fit as well.

I think Cleveland's deal for Shaq was a bad move for the exact same reason, just like I thought that the Suns dealing for Shaq was a stupid move back when that happened. Unless you've got a slow-paced offense, like for example, the Spurs, Shaq is pretty much just a liability right now. He's huge and slow now, as opposed to old Shaq, who was huge and quick
