Amazing. What a horrible, horrible call.

What the hell is there an outfield umpire for if he misses that call. That was an AWFUL AWFUL blown call. A couble with nobody out? Instead he gets a single.

Fair ground rule double was ruled foul. It was fair by at least a foot or two' date=' looked pretty apparent on TV.[/quote']A foot or two? Don't they have extra umps on the baselines? How could they miss that?

What was the call?

Mauer hit the ball down the 3B line, Melky comes over trying to field it, it nicks his glove while he's in fair territory, then lands like 2' inside the line. Ump called it foul. Would have been a GR double.

No idea...the ump was right there. Has to be one of the worst calls since Jeffrey Maeir.

Don't ask me, the guy who called it was as close as the 1B ump is for a play at 1B.

JFC. The Twins would have the lead if the call was correct. Officiating has been awful just in the first three days of the postseason.

Did they pick the umps with the worst eyesight to do all of the playoff series?

What's funny is that, in the past, the Yankees' have won the games when an ump made an awful call (Richie Garcia and Tim Tschida). Tonight might be a different story.

Maier and Offerman/Knoblauch, respectively?

There are 90 degrees of fair territory. What is the likelihood that two consecutive hitters hit the ball to the same fielder so directly that he doesn't have to step in either direction to field the ball?

EDIT: With the IF in?
