This is getting way more in-depth than it should be.

One of your reasons for the Vikings winning this game is how much Brett Favre wants to win it.

If Brett Favre's will and desire play such a big role in the success of his team, then why did the Packers lose very important games, in large part because Brett came up short.

Then why did they win a lot of big games too? It goes both ways, and you're cherry picking little instances where he came up short. The man has been to the Super Bowl twice, he's won it once. That's more than you can say for a lot of QBs. Dan Marino, most talented QB ever to play the game won a grand total of ZERO Super Bowls. How can you say Brett Favre isn't a big game, burning desire player? He holds the record for consecutive starts as well. I think it's asinine to question Brett Favre's desire, to say the least.

I thought Favre had already beaten all 32 teams. Maybe he's the only person to throw a TD pass against all 32 teams.

Anyway I've got AP on my fantasy team, so I couldn't care less what Favre does. Besides, I'm not a fan of either team, although I really wish that Favre would go away for a few decades. I can't believe that his antics have permeated all the way to England where they have been bugging me incessantly for quite a while now.

If you think I'm questioning Favre's desire, you're misinterpreting what I'm saying. That's probably my fault.

All I'm saying is that I don't think Favre's added desire to beat the Packers tonight will have any bearing on the outcome of the game.

You never know, because the player doesn't usually say "Yeah, I wanted to beat 'em bad so I gave it an extra kick", because then they get criticized for their efforts in previous games, and future games. So really, we won't know, but most will build it up as such if he has a huge game against the Packers, and I will too, because I think it's personal between the Packers and Favre.

I hope the Vikings win tonight' date=' mainly because it would help me in fantasy football [/quote']

I need the Vikings Defense to be horrible for my team to pull out a win. C'mon Packers offense!!

re: rsr's signature

Would that 1093 runs be worth the cost in tampons?

That's great

Woohoo! 14-7! Brett's rollin'! Keep 'er up Vikes!

Favre only has 1 INT this year ' date=' that's suprising considering he average's over 1 a game for his career[/quote']

Not really that surprising. They played Cleveland and Detroit the first two games and he didn't attempt hardly any passes over 5 yards.

Not really, considering that he's now on a pretty much run-first offense
