I thought as long as player spent some time on the MLB roster before September 1st they would be eligible for post-season roster? Gathwright spent some time on Cubs MLB roster earlier in the year.

If Baldelli is healthy Gathright is unlikely to make the postseason roster.

Me either but I do think he could make a contribution in the later innings with his speed on the basepaths. I certainly dont want to see Clay Buchholz pinch running again and this will preclude any of that.

 

Yeah, Tito gets away with stuff like that. Of course, that was before Buchholz pitched like an ace the other night. Doubt it will happen again.
