Did anyone catch any of the games on the MLB Network?? Wow, those kids were very good for 12 years old. I watched Mexico vs. Japan and they were so much better then any of the teams in the LLWS. Ripken and Ruth are going to take over youth baseball.

The travel teams are the way to go now. Little league just isnt cutting it. That being said, you can play on both.

Agreed. Where i live all 3 little league have closed shop because travel is taking over the world. Aslo, high school in Cali have travel teams and play every off season. So they are pulling a lot of the local kids from LL and getting them ready for High school and travel ball.

Do the Ripken kids play on a regulation field or a youth field? I couldn't tell lol. If not, what are the differences between Little League and Ripken?

They play on the field that makes the timing just like that big leagues. The LLWS fields are so close the timing is way too fast, it is ridiculous. I guess Ripken and Ruth Company were the only people smart enough to figure it out. It makes it way more fun to watch and the kids get to play really baseball instead of that crap the LLWS plays. The one thing I can think of the top of my head, no stealing (LLWS) is not baseball.
