sorry.. Im new.. takes a while to get to know people's nuances and personalities.. Im a big Sox and Pats fan.. but I know more about football than I do baseball .. I know the rules etc .. just not the finer points. My ex husband loved football but hated baseball so I didnt get to watch many games for a few years...

Thanks.. hoping to learn more than I know now.. which isnt much.. I have some friends who do fantasy baseball and they want me to join the league next yr.. my problem is I only know the Sox and not so much the rest of the league.. so Im hoping by joining some baseball talks, I can learn about players, other teams.. and more importantly farm systems etc

KP is fine.. thanx .. I'll try not to ask too many stupid questions.. One I do have though, is when a pitcher is called for a "balk" - at what point in the windup is it considered a balk ? does a foot have to leave the mound?
