This will be a thread dedicated to former Red Sox players that rose above the call of duty, and achieved warrior status. This thread will be updated from time to time and will honor those who shall never be forgotten.

Today we will induct the first three members who shall live in immortality.

The first inductee and Captain of the Warrior Squad is a man that need no introduction to Red Sox fans nor fans around the MLB

MARK BELLHORN

A man that when you bring up to people in this city. the words that come to mind are Guts, Glory, and Heart.

The Second Inductee is another man that defines the meaning of a soldier on and off the field.

BILL MUELLER

Billy Ballgame has earned his reputation of one of the biggest warriors to ever walk this city. He is a man that makes other men cry with his love of the game.

The final first ballot inductee is a man that was never the most popular man in Boston. When it came to hitting bombs and being an all around presence on the field this is a man who's accomplishments and skills could never be questioned.

WILY MO PENA

Known for tape measure homers and the chance to kill someone in the stands every time he made contact makes Wily Mo a Warrior for years to come. Forever will be the most feared hitter in the Red Sox lineup during this decade Wily Mo's name shall now hang high up in Fenway Park

Thank you all. With the positive feedback the warrior squad is happy to add on two more members.

Despite only playing one season with the Red Sox this is a man most may never forget.

TERRY SHUMPERT

Who could forget the magical summer of '95 with Terry? I know I sure don't. When he was the meat of the Red Sox order batting with a sparkling .234 average and .298 Slugging Percentage. Shumpert made his name with numerous key hits and was the reason the Red Sox won the division for the first time since 1990.

Our next inductee is another man who only spent shortened time with the team but made his presence felt with not only his bat but both of his First name's as well... you guessed it? of course none other than...

CLIFF "Fat Spliff" Floyd

Cliff was a monster for the Red Sox during the summer of 2002. Despite not being with the team in 2003 the Red Sox cited Floyd as a mjor influence for their playoff run

Are you really that young or did you not follow the Red Sox back then?

I'm 16 and a little bit of both.

Suns leave your JV s*** at the table this thread is dedicated to Red Sox warriors of the past no need for uneducated band-wagoners.

how bout Heathcliffe Slocumb. Killa warrior of the past who netted you DLowe and the ultimate warrior Varitek

Varitek would be tops for my Soft Lesbian Club. He and Mike Remlinger are the most gutless players to join this team in the past 20 years

JV s***? I was going to take this thread tongue in cheek but if you are going to insult a young man who was not around during the era where these "Warriors" achieved such lofty status and unparalleled performance, well then, f*** YOU TWIT.

Leave the kid alone.

Dave Roberts has been on this list. Everyone in the world knew he was trying to steal and after 6 pickoff attempts steals 2nd base and is the reason why we won the 2004 World Series.

Easy there tiger, he's a big reason we didn't get swept. There are a lot of other, more significant reasons, we won the 2004 WS

It's a shame that we don't treat our veteran warriors with the respect they deserve. They may believe that we have forgotten about them, and the things that they have done for this team in the past. Well I'm not having it.

Listen and scroll to honor our heroes...

EVERY STEP I TAKE.....MATT MANTEI

A true warrior that always knew he wanted to finish his career in Boston. He put everything he had on the table for this team. He was God-like on the mound feasting against right-handed hitting, and soon to be Hall of Famer

EVERY MOOOOOOVVVVVE I MAKE....HIPOLITO PICHARDO

Few could mention the Boston Red Sox and not have images of Pichardo's blazing fastball come to mind. Most remember Pedro Martinez lighting up the league during 2000-2001. It was Pichardo's arm though that was the most valuble in Boston over those two seasons.

I'LL MISS YOU

EVERY SINGLE DAAAAAYYYYY....JEREMY GIAMBI

Some people tend to forget that you beat out David Ortiz for DH back in early 2003. You hit a walk off against the Yankees and solidified yourself to Bostonians as a man with honor and respect for the game beyond all imagination.

EVERY TIME I PRAAAAAAAAYYYY...CASEY FOSSUM

We all know now Casey that you don't get the credit that you deserve. You will forever be loved as the true warrior that was the centerpiece of the package to get Curt Schilling. Despite the Red Sox best efforts to get you back in a package that would have been headlined by Hanley Ramirez and Jon Lester the Diamondbacks smartly declined, and traded you to Tampa Bay for Jose Cruz where you continued to dominate the Red Sox bats. To this day remains the worst trade the Red Sox ever completed

I'LL BE MISSING YOOOOUUUUUU... SHEA HILLENBRAND

Shea we know we never should have traded you. Yo had guts and were not afraid to speak your mind. A true conqueror you were, and you shall continue to tear it up in the Independent Leagues.

WE MISS AND LOVE ALL OF YOU RED SOX WARRIORS...

His grammar is too good, not enough CAPS or overall 16-year-old douche factor.

He's someone else.

What was wrong with Troy O'Leary?

He played well.

So did Bill Mueller and Wily Mo during his first year. Bellhorn also was clutch along with a legend in the town of Boston. It takes more than stats to establish themselves as a warrior.

Bellhorn was clearly a boozebag. Which makes him legendary
