Is the competition good enough yet?

I seem to remember after an 0-8 start the yankees had against the redsox, fans were calling the sports show circuit complaining that there was no competition this year. Fans were depressed that there was not going to be any "rivalry" this season. So I am interested to know what the concensous is.

 

Is the rivalry back? Is the competition where you want it to be?

No one I know expected the Yankees to play poorly for long. I never heard anyone say that there was little or no competition between the two teams. The Yankees just were not clicking early in the season. Getting A-Rod back has been big. And the pitching has stabilized to the point where that line-up can win most games.

At least Spudboy can be objective. I'm sure you figured out that I am a Yankee fan by now. But don't you get bored just talkin to yes men all the time. If everyone agrees with you what fun is that?

 

Now getting back to my point, I listen to WFAN most of the time in the car, and right after the 0-8 start I lost count how many redsox fans called up to "rub salt" into the wounds. So I guess they didnt really mean that they really wanted competition after all. Because if they did I would have said "Be careful of what you wish for"!

 

But I'm sure it wasnt any fans on this board that said that, probably some other board.

Agreed, Most yankee fans are kind of pathetic that when there team is doing good they would take the time out of there sad lives to come to a Red Sox board to gloat, by the way not one person here cares what you have to say and every Yankee fan on this site is a damn troll who has no life except maybe Jacko at least hes paid his dues and been here when yhe Yankees lost

Yankee fans should stay in their own chatgroups. This is a Red Sox chatgroup. That's why I'm here. If I were a Yankee fan, I would be in a Yankee chatgroup.

 

Yankee fans in Red Sox chatgroups (or vice versa) are just there to cause trouble. That's my view.

When the Sox went 8-0 against the Yankees after the June 11th matchup, we were up by a game over the Yankees. Any poster here declaring the Yankees being no competition would've been laughed off this board.

First of all *******, I'm from New York and secondly, who the f*** would say in mid june that the Yankees are no competition when there are 4 months left in the season? Answer: Someone like your self who lives in New York and is a Yankee fan just because it's easy, Knows absolutely nothing about baseball, gloats when the Yankees win and says we need to spend more money when they lose.

Not agree. I post in Scout.com and some of our best posters are Red Sox fans. I used to post in the Red Sox forum, but that one is dead since a year ago or so... So, since that time I have being looking for a Red Sox community to post, because IMO is great to have a good baseball discussion with people from the opposite side, not in a forum where everybody will see the world with the same colored glasses, red or blue.

 

This community seems to be very active and I like that. I just expect we can have nice debates about our teams and baseball in general.

 

And about the trolling, and this is a personal suggestion, since in the scout.com board we are also victims of trolling (mostly red sox or mets "idiots", because trolls are not fans, just idiots):
