Now getting back to my point, I listen to WFAN most of the time in the car, and right after the 0-8 start I lost count how many redsox fans called up to "rub salt" into the wounds. So I guess they didnt really mean that they really wanted competition after all. Because if they did I would have said "Be careful of what you wish for"! But I'm sure it wasnt any fans on this board that said that, probably some other board.

Are you kiddin me? Ortiz is lying! How can U be contrite about something when you are lying about something? At least Arod told the truth. Ortiz should be as truthful, he should just turn around and say he bought steroids from his DR, and injected it into his gluteous maximus just like arod did. Heck he should go all the way and admit him and arod are good friends and have steroid parties together and inject each others gluteous maximuses.

I seem to remember after an 0-8 start the yankees had against the redsox, fans were calling the sports show circuit complaining that there was no competition this year. Fans were depressed that there was not going to be any "rivalry" this season. So I am interested to know what the concensous is. Is the rivalry back? Is the competition where you want it to be?
