I heard there's a motion being passed around in Toronto to make Lester's Hook illegal.

And after making Lind look like a Little Leaguer, that motion just gained some serious impulse.

i wish we had 2 Lesters...

Lester's getting squeezed a little. Come on Millar, help us out here.

Barajas is 0 for his last 20. He tried to step into that first pitch he was so desperate to get on :D

f***. Between the strike zone and the pitch Barajas got to, that's really frustrating. Lester got that pitch down and well inside.

was Papi' date=' running? he actually had some hustle, or at least compared to how he used to run.[/quote']

Ortiz has always run well for someone his size.

Lester is killing himself with the walks today. Halladay will never do that.

You obviously didn't see his last start against the Yankees.

Look the line up in MLB.COM.

You'll be surprised.

Only one of them scored though.

Logic.

Even if they didn't score, a walk hurts a pitcher in a number of ways.

That's a dumb argument, which is not the norm with you.

Very true. Knee problems not withstanding, he has always motored pretty well when needed.

Can you imagine being an infielder and having Ortiz approaching and preparing to slide?

That's a big man.

Come on' date=' if you're gonna squeeze Lester you can't give Halladay those ridiculous strike calls.[/quote']

Why start calling pitches equally now? He probly figures he should at least screw them for the entire series.

No, I understand that, but he still went seven innings, and at least he was able to pitch around two of them. I think that start against the Yankees is pretty much an anomaly for Halladay. If I'm not mistaken, it was the most earned runs he's allowed since 2003 (and it was only 5). He wasn't as sharp that day as he usually is.

I appreciate the compliment in there, by the way.

You're a smart guy, i knew you'd pick it up.

The whole point is the "Halladay would NEVER kill himself with walks", well NEVER is an overstatement, and is proved by my post.

The guy walks 30-40 guys in a season. He doesn't hurt himself with walks. He walked 3 in 7 innings in the Yankee game that you referenced. That's the most guys he has walked in a game all season, and 3 in 7 innings is not that bad if it is his worst.

I stand corrected. He almost never hurts himself with walks.
