He wasn't entirely "on" like you said' date=' but getting results like he did without his best stuff is very encouraging. Shows you how filthy he can be when he really brings it. Solid performance.[/quote']

I agree. To me, it's more telling if a guy can get good results when he doesn't have his best stuff (he couldn't locate his curve tonight and had to abandon it for the most part) than it is when a guy is getting good results with his best stuff.

Am I the only one who wants to keep Penny? Am I the only one who doesn't care if we get Halladay? Just wondering.

I don't care if we get Halladay, but I think Penny's expendable.

That's nasty. That's the second time I've seen Bard strike out a hitter on a ball that hit them in the foot on the fly.

Bard faces 4 batters, and strikes out 3 of them. He's really starting to look comfortable in the majors.

Then why call him Bad Penny? It's not even... funny.

9 QS

It's what they called him in LA when he s*** the bed every five days.

Bad Penny... LOL!

Jim Kaat?

How long before Suzy Waldman shows up in our booth?

Kaat's been awesome tonight...

And if we trade Buchholz and Bard for Halladay I'll be very upset.

Also, bye Penny

He hasn't done that in Boston. And when Masterson and Delcarmen blew one of his games, he took the blame. I like him.

Yeah, Penny's done fine. Buchholz does have some more upside though, and he really isn't getting anything out of pitching in AAA anymore. We've got plenty of depth beyond Buchholz as well so Penny is kind of expendable.

I'm back and not in jail. Thank you Destroyah and Dutch.

Looks like Buck did OK? What, 5 2/3 1 run? How did he look?

Hope everything's alright. Buch looked fine, he was struggling with his curve but he was plenty effective. He was removed in the 6th because of his pitch count.

Nope' date=' I completely agree. If it's not broke don't fix it right?[/quote']

I hate that saying. If everyone adhered to it we'd all be living in caves using tools made out of wood and bone. :D

Thank you for the objective assessment Dutch.

I'm OK. My Daughter is OK.
