This is the at home easy part of the schedule where we are supposed to get some distance with the Yankees - not suck against unknown pitchers. If they don't recover soon - they can kiss the division title good-bye.

 

Props to Theo for recognizing our offense depth. At the start of the season - I was hoping there will be a call-up for Lars at this point - but who knew Bates also can do some real damage. Also - I had no idea that we will make a mistake not trading for 'I suck' Hinske.

I never bet 40. It was 40 centilitres of gin for 20 quid. Quid is another word for "pounds" which is a slang term for British currency. Saying "Quid" instead of "Pounds" is like saying "Bucks" instead of "Dollars".

 

Next, a "quid" or "pound" is roughly worth $1.50, so 20 quid is worth roughly $30. So I won roughly $30 for chugging 40 centilitres of gin. I'm not sure of an exact conversion, but 50 centilitres is exactly half a litre (makes sense), so take a fraction off of that. Let's just say it was a f***** lot of alcohol.

 

I hope this makes sense. To say that I'm lashed is an understatement, and I'm obviously writing this from a British perspective, so I'm not sure how to phrase it in an American perspective. Does that help?
