I'm in the mood for some french toast.

My kids and my friends say that I make the best French Toast they have had.

Now I'm hungry. Thanks.

Clay Buchholz' date=' Jacoby Ellsbury, and MDC for Grady Sizemore.[/quote']

Is this some fantasy trade you guys are talking about? I certainly like Sizemore. But not much of an upgrade from Ellsbury (except more pop). No need to give so much and get so little back.

This afternoon is creeping by way to slowly. I am pumped for tonight's game.

This.

Not that I don't have plenty of chores etc. to do. But I'd rather be watching the game. Right. Now. Totally psyched. Or insane. Not sure which at the moment.

Tarp on; Ellsbury out; Lowrie closer

Posted by Adam Kilgore, Globe Staff June 9, 2009 04:57 PM

The Fenway grounds crew is scurrying around, putting away the batting cage and clearing the field so they can bring on the tarp. It is not raining now, but that can't be a sign that they're optimistic about the rain staying away.

In baseball news, Jacoby Ellsbury is out today but not in bad shape. Manager Terry Francona said it's a bruise on his shoulder, and he is day-to-day.

"He got examined yesterday, and it looks like it’s just a bruise, which is good," Francona said. "When I talked to him last night, I think he really thought, ‘I’m ready to play tomorrow.’ I said, ‘Eh, let’s give it a day.’ And then he showed up today. I think he’s kind of sore. He’s day-to-day. It just might not be today."

Also, shortstop Jed Lowrie is getting close to his return. Asked if Lowrie might be a week away from a rehab stint, Francona said, "I’d say that’s a pretty good timetable. We need to certainly let him have the next three days before we contemplate it. See where his strength is. The one thing we don’t want to do is send him out to play while he still has some rehabbing to do. I don’t know if that’s fair to him.

"He’s doing terrific. I would say we may have an update for you after this series."

WAY too psyched for this game. Stay away rain!

You might want to do some more research.

Yeah, I read they put the tarp on. :( Weather forecast I looked up isn't supposed to be horrible, so hope it's just a precaution.

On the bright side for some, if the game is delayed a bit, many fans won't have to miss the start of the game due to work.

Sizemore is an immense upgrade from Ellsbury. Not even close.

I'll certainly take your word for that. But Why make the move? Power? What about trading two promising young pitchers as well as Ellsbury. Seems lopsided to me. In any case, is it a rumor? And if so, what is it's source?

Doesn't really matter since the deal won't happen.

I did some research. He averages about 28 HR/year and has good slg and ops. I'd love to have him in a Sox uni. I just don't see why the Sox would consider this trade now. As you said, it won't happen.

Sizemore is the face of the franchise in Cleveland and has (I think) 4 years left on his deal for very reasonable money. He's even less likely to be traded than Hanley
